eerily retro

I suspect Big Brother has been reading the blog again. Did anyone see last Friday's New York Times? Under the headline "Road Trip: In the Land of Fallingwater and Flight 93," a writer describes ten destinations in western PA, finishing in Indiana at the Jimmy Stewart Museum: "For a straight shot of nostalgia (hold the ice)," she writes, "drive north from Johnstown on Route 56 to Stewart's eerily retro hometown..." So far, so good. It was when she mentioned a subculture of Styx look-alikes that I started to worry.

Comments:
Very heavy.

You know, every damn town in America that is over 100 years old looks "retro" to some degree. Jeez.

I think "retro" means there isn't a Starbucks every other block.

..or all the ducks.

"Retro" is tearing down Wrigley Field to put up a stadium that references Wrigley Field. With a several Starbucks serving Babe Ruth and Butterfinger mocha frappacinos. Hold the Heathbar sprinkles.

I have a tee-shirt that says
"No Lights in Wrigley Field"
How much could I sell it for on
E-Bay??
