Show me the money

Data trumps Norm the nerd.

Comments:
I look at stuff like this and think stuff like "what ever happened to the bass player for Pablo Cruise?" I mean, on the verge of the pantheon of rock goddom in 1977 and what about now? Do the other fathers whisper to each other at soccar games "that guy used to be the lead guitarist for Bread."

Tim. Sweetheart. There is almost nothing I care to compete with you about, and if I did, dueling Top 25 lists from close to 30 years ago has to be close to the bottom of the list. I mean, there are so many other things we can try to top each other on. Better looking dogs. CD collections. Bigger tractor. Most time wasted on the Internet.

There ARE some songs on your list which catch my eye, though, "You're in Me," Peter Frampton...insipid, but kinda sexy. Okay. You're in charge from here on in.

Thanks for the new list Tim. But I notice you haven't mentioned any of your personal faves, or hated songs, or memory songs. You certainly must have some. Share, share.

I've always enjoyed Frank Zappa's response to "I'm In You" called, of course, "I've Been In You".

Sorry Kim, I'm just a numbers-driven scientist and the thought of Rod Stewart high in your list ("so spread your wings and let me come inside/tonight's the night") made me temporarily insane.

I look forward to yunz's and Norm's list for 1978.

"We'll be GREAT, in '78". "Dust in the Wind". Rose and Cream. AFA. XOXOXO. Ween-Bob.

Well, I DID say Rod Stewart sold out, didn't I? I agree, it's a hideous song.

'78 was the year, wasn't it? I'm saving it for later.

The song list, that is.

Anyone remember the promotional video (i.e. video) for Tonight's The Night? It's like a black velvet painting of a naked woman and a panther except it's Rod Stewart singing "Tonight's the Night." It's really an odd, tacky thing that I sort of vaguely remembered and then saw on tv maybe last year. ick.

Also, in light of Pete Townshend's child porn bust, isn't "Uncle Ernie" from Tommy all the more disturbing?
