Guilty Pleasures

Enough with the import record bin. See what you think of the link in the title.
Have a nice day ;)

Comments:
VH1 did some sort of "50 songs you love to hate" thing once. I liked a lot of the songs. Actually, I thought some of the songs were not only fun, but good songs. You can never account for taste.

Looking at what's currently on my computer, the guiltiest pleasure is ELO Out of the Blue - one of their most terrible albums but home of "Mr. Blue Sky"

I had a few ELO albums back then. "New World Records", "Out of the Blue" and a couple of others. I sold them off years ago as they no longer appealed to me. Same with the LP's I once had by Boston, Foreigner, and Yes. They wore off. They also could not match the rush of excitement I got from new stuff by the Clash, XTC, Pere Ubu, Buzzcocks, Gang of Four, the Jam, X, Ultravox, and many other punk and post-punk bands of the late 70's and early 80's.

I've enjoyed hearing a few old ELO tunes on commecials lately, but it hasn't made me rush out to by a CD of theirs.
