The Tablog Book Club

Since we're deconstructing Indiana, has anyone read these books? She was a neighborhood buddy of Jane and Susan and dad was her pediatrician. I haven't read it, but she told Jane that the loud, opinionated, strong-willed pediatrician in the book is based on someone familiar.

Comments:
I read her first book. Definitely saw a lot of familiar stuff in that one.

I read a book once.

I remember when you read that book - On Being And Nothingness by Jean-Paul Sartre, wasn't it?

you're confusing me with some guy with a really high crackly voice who can't pronounce his "Rs"

Remember the books Gene's Mom wrote? I just remember one was called The Lastborn of Elvenwood. I wish I still had them. They too were full of familiar things.

I think there were three of them....

Well Joe, that got me to the basement but not for the computer mic. When I was going through my high school memorabilia for Tabishfest, I came across a Gazette article dated August 5, 1978 about Linda Haldeman and her books. It lists her current book (at the time) as "The Star of the Sea" and one to be published in October '78 as "The Last Born of Elvenwood" which was originally to have been titled "The Changeling". I thought there was a third book as well. I too remember reading these books.

Perhaps it's Karma, but I have a good friend from college who recently had his own first novel published and it concerns changelings.

You can get them all at at used book store site:
