Jinj says it's a picture from Lisa's college graduation, but she couldn't remember the person between them so she cut him out and replaced him with snuggle-bunny Ian. It reminds me of how, pre-Photoshop, people would cut their divorced exs out of family pictures. If you ever come to my house, look for the picture of C.E.'s family on our wall, with her Mother's second husband neatly trimmed from the group. Cracks me up every time I see it. I don't think her Mom has ever noticed.
