The Lord of the Peeps

It's a little disappointing that the "movie" is actually a bunch of stills, but you do have to admire people who dress up peeps marshmallows and put them in tiny sets to act out "The Lord of the Rings." I mean, that has to count for something.

Comments:
It's a big world, eh?

So big, that it even has a place for people like Dave Jenkins, who used to dress up the molts from little cicadas in accurate historical tableaus like the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I not kidding.

The surgeon in me offers you this link:

I remember hearing that about Ron, I would love to see it, that's for sure. The peep surgery is a HOOT, thanks for that. Is that how all you guys start out?

"Exposed Fluffathelium" and the ingenious use of Fun Dip are my laugh of the day. Thanks McWeinery!

We've seperated some conjoined twins here over the years. The peep surgery guide didn't help.

There's a big void in peep CPR research that might make a good science fair project for somebody's kids.

I'd post more, but I'm kind of freaked about the whole Brit thing and need some space right now. And 'sup with LiLo? It's so true: rehab is the new black.

Baby, recovery: I've been tellin' you for years that's where it's at.

The only problem is, it wreaks havoc with your style sense.

Dave created the original cicada artwork--Santa and his reindeer, with a milkweed-pod sled, I was inspired and created many subsequent cicada-shell tableaux, including the aforementioned signing of the Declaration (as I recall, it included only Jefferson, Franklin, and John Adams). My favorite was the cicada nativity scene.

Incidentally, Dave submitted a couple of Peep photos to the Washington Post's Peep photo contest this past spring.
