Birthday Wishes, Compliments of G.D. and Friends

Ian, ye of little faith. I wouldn't have let you hang up there for TOO long.
Anyway, check this out. Not only do I have many of your signatures (including the elusive EJ), but look at the letterhead!!
The question of the hour: who is "Peter Pan?"

Comments:
Valuable discovery. Will you be selling it on eBay? Noticed that Kurt acknowledges himself as "The Bone" and EJ takes the moniker "Ericamundo", out of respect for his Mexican heritage?

This letterhead and the Foley scandal is about as much as I can take. Look for me on Dr Phil working thru found memories soon.

OH, and with the NK nuke test today, Wonsuck's signoff as "the spy" has me concerned.

I like the slogan "for young men on the go." For some reason it's parenthetical rather than the usual italics or quotes. It makes it seem like more of an after-thought- like you should say it at half-volume through the side of your mouth.

Tim, I hope using the phrase "side of your mouth" wasn't too insensative.

Well, I certainly wondered at "half-volume through the side of your mouth," I have to tell you. Especially given the content. So to speak.

*whew*, is it getting warm in here?

Yeah, who IS Peter Pan?

Magee is the guy who refuses to grow old; did he know that then?

it sort of looks like Ian's handwriting ... but I can't really picture him calling himself Peter Pan, esp. with any possibility that the name might stick.

Maybe we should start calling Ian Peter Pan, just in case .

Although to be honest, signing something "Peter Pan" is almost more Tim's style, doncha think?

Okay, I'm connected again, but the connections are a bit wacky. Comcast is still a nasty word in Indiana.

Here are some of my thoughts:
1. The list looks like a "Who's Who" from A Capella so that narrows the list of Peter Pan suspects.

2. I think that the fact that this Birthday wish starts off with "Happy Birthday, We Love You" is touching and charming. What more could one want from friends? This sentiment really makes me happy. I'm sorry I didn't get to sign the letter.

I was WONDERING how A. Dwight got in there! I guess I assumed he was some De Molay advisor or something. A Capella makes perfect sense. Explains the women folk, too.

Yes, it was very nice, and I was touched when I ran across it. We were LIKE that.

I like to think we are still like that.

Right On Nell, I still love y'all.

and I am in the land of Bush and Foley!

Geoff, nice to have you back! How's the weather in MI?

GD, weren't you the ping pong star of DeMolay? I recall that you had some hi-tech paddle and mastered some overhand slicing Chinese-style spin move. Even Smith was impressed.

The guys that ran that were still pretty creepy.

Who was the guy in class that looked like John Denver?

John Stewart. He was a funny kid, very dry sense of humor.

Yeah, we used to ask "Denver" to get us some "rocky mountain high," but Jenkins always insisted it was HIS job. I think he hid it in his cello case, mixed in with his resin.

Really what the heck was Demolay? What did we ladies have, Rainbow Girls?

We had nothing. And that was just fine.

I think De Molay was covered in a previous post a few months ago.
